XBMC и пульт Microsoft MCE Remote
Настраивал в Ubuntu 9.10. Мое устройство определяется командой lsusb, как:

У меня где-то тоже пульт от платы ТВ-тюнера валяется, надо бы опираясь на этот топик настроить таки lircd.

Где-то в журнале Системный администратор была подробная статья как сделать приемник (там 3 детали, все включается в com)
Если есть IR приемник — еще проще
Пульт если не поддерживается lirc — можно его обучить
Я предпочел просто купить готовый комплект — по деталям и трудозатратам

Лучше взять готовый и настроить как описано вышие!
По затратам даже дешевле, а глюков ГОРАЗДО меньше !
